The School Sales Support Coordinator is responsible for supporting growth and development of our school-channel loan volume.  In addition to providing administrative support to the company’s school Sales Relationships Manager(s), this position plays a critical role in managing relationships with lending product eligible institutions of higher education by taking a data-driven, service-oriented approach to meeting their needs. 

The selected candidate must have a deep-rooted understanding of the higher education financial aid process and will be asked to serve the needs of schools across our entire national footprint. 

Responsibilities:
  • Driving funded loan volume that is directly attributable to school channel sales.
  • Establishing and maintaining ethical and professional relationships with key personnel within the Financial Aid Office (FAO), admissions office and finance department of eligible schools and promote our products and services.
  • Ensure the timely and accurate completion and delivery of school Requests for Information (RFI’s) related to placement on school preferred lender lists.
  • Optimizing the presentation of Ascent loan products on school lender lists through outbound communications campaigns.
  • Maintenance of Ascent lending products as presented on 3rd-party school lender list platforms such as ELMSelect, FastChoice, etc. 
  • Coordinate the development and production of school-facing marketing and promotional materials with the product and marketing departments.
  • Coordinate attendance, travel and lodging for school sales staff as well as procurement and delivery of marketing materials and collateral for financial aid and other industry conferences.
  • Administration of school communications calendar and execution of bulk email campaigns to key FAO contacts.
  • Occasional attendance at local / regional industry conferences may be required.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of direct experience working with or in the financial aid office of Title IV eligible institutions of higher education.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Highly organized with a keen focus and attention to detail.
  • Strong oral and written communications skills.
  • A motivated self-starter that is capable of coordinating critical service activities from external resources such as printing vendors and other suppliers.
  • Deep understanding of the financial aid process for higher education.
  • Technical proficiency in standard office software applications such as MS Word, Excel, email clients, HubSpot or other similar sales cycle and CRM-type applications, etc.
