Content & Design Intern
We’re looking for a Content & Design Intern to join our team. The Content and Design Intern will work to support the AscentUP Team in creating innovative learning solutions for Ascent borrowers. The Content & Design Intern will report to the Senior Learning Designer.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Learning Design Team to develop interactive courses, resources, and video content for the AscentUP learning platform.
- Support efforts to rebrand, rewrite, and refresh outdated course content for inclusion in our updated learning platform.
- Test and quality control new course content to ensure a seamless go-live experience.
- Assist in the organization and management of course assets.
- Become a Learning Management System expert and assist in course administration.
- Think like a learner and provide ideas and feedback as we continue to develop our product. Write new course content as applicable.
- Research and help coordinate video interviews with new professional guest speakers for our platform.
- Opportunities to collaborate cross-functionally with other departments on special projects, such as Marketing, Product, Coaching, and more.
Minimal Qualifications:
- Must be available to work for up to 10-15 hours a week during business hours (9am-5pm PT).
- Excellent attention to detail – eagle-eyed when it comes to QC and revision!
- An organizational and operational brain.
- Experience writing public-facing copy (web, social media, creative, etc.) in different voices and styles.
- Demonstrated interest in impact-based work, learning design, and curriculum development.
- Interest in working in a fast-paced, start-up environment.
- A wide variety of degrees encouraged to apply whether you’re a business major, art major, education major, drama major, etc., we are seeking someone who wants to learn the ins and outs of LD and has a passion for helping people learn hard things!
- Interest/experience in visual design software such as Adobe or Canva a plus, but not required.
- This internship will be hybrid with one day a week in the office in West Hollywood.
- Internship will last approximately six to nine months.
- Compensation – Interns receive a competitive salary of $17-$19.00 per hour.
